In Las Vegas werden de D.I.C.E Awards uitgereikt door The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. Grote winnaars waren PUBG, Cuphead, Horizon: Zero Dawn maar toch vooral Nintendo. Hun The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild won het felbegeerde beeldje voor game of the year. Nintendo’s Genyo Takeda kreeg dan weer een lifetime achievement award voor het ontwikkelen van een save systeem in het originele The Legend of Zelda en zijn werk aan games zoals Punch Out!en Dr. Mario 64.
