Ubisoft heeft aangekondigd dat op 27 mei niet alleen de Watch_Dogs game zal uitkomen, maar ook het nieuwe Watch_Dogs e-book. Watch_Dogs //n/Dark Clouds is een interactieve technothriller die zich centreert op de wereld van high-tech crimes met zowel nieuwe als bekende personages. Het is geschreven door John Wiley en gaat verder waar het verhaal van de Watch_Dogs game ophoudt. Er zijn dan ook nog weinig details bekend betreft de storyline, al laat Wiley in een persbericht weten dat het boek ex-militair Mick Wolfe zal volgen in de gevaarlijke en hyper verbonden ondergrondse van Chicago.

Wegens de interactieve aard van het boek heeft Ubisoft besloten Watch_Dogs //n/Dark Clouds niet naar de traditionele print te brengen. Het boek bevat onder andere interactieve modellen en beloningssystemen door middel van afbeeldingen en videos.
